blue tinge on printing

I am a new user of photoshop. I scanned in an old black and white photo, sharpened it up and took out a few scratches etc. When I printed it it came out with a blue tinge that deepened towards the bottom of the print. Is this a problem with my printer or something I have done wrong in elements? If anyone could advise it would be welcome. Thanks
