Polarizing Filters

I saw a reference to polarizers in the Raw thread and thought I’d start a new one. I have a circular polarizer that I use on my Fuji 6900 and have noticed that the camera and the filter some times have trouble cooperating. If I go to total manual mode everything is ok.

Has anyone had similar experiences like this.

I believe that a polarizer can dork up the autofocus.
