Hi

I am using PS7. I created a new layer 2048 pixels wide.
Using the crop tool to resize a part of the image, whatever the position of the crop tool frame, it creates a new cropped image 1024 pixels wide. I don’t find any preference to set differently the size of the resulting image, that the selection is small of large it is resizaed to 1024.

Is there a way to tell PS7 that the resulting image is for example 1500 pixels wide, or these 1024 are a default, and are hardcoded ?

NB. I don’t want to resize the cropped image using the image or the canvas size features but only using the crop tool..

Thanks in advance

Really, even if you crop off say 100 pixels your new image is 1024?

Thierry,

I’m not sure I fully understand what you’re saying, but once you’ve chosen the crop tool, below the menu bar, you have "Width", "Height" and "Resolution". You can set your sizes according to inches, cm, pixels, and put resolution to 0 if your "resample image" in "image", "image size" is
unchecked.

Cheers,

Marcel

You also have "clear" which clears all current crop tool measurements!

Indeed, It is well what states PS7, but I don’t see that menu bar. I see only the main one (File, edit, etc), and my tree floating windows (the one with my tolls, layers and history), nothing lese,
hence my question.
When I select a crop zone, no menu appears.
Is there an option to display this "menu" ?

Thanks

OK, I saw it. Just below the main menu…
Thanks. That helps 😉
