BMPs for Macromedia Director

Am currently preparing colour illust (RGB) saving as BMP to be imported into Macromedia Director. When imported there are however "lined" with white pixels although sep. paths/layer when workinh in Photoshop. Is there anyone out there who knows how to get round this problem?

That could be because the BMP file format doesn’t support transparency….
