Default Photoshop Size

Is there any way to change the default when opening a new document. I get a 72 dpi rgb file every time I open a new file. I know you can save as a preset, but that doesn’t help when using a java script that I am using.

The javascript can specify the relevent information when creating the file, or can change it via image size.
