Why does this happen in Photoshop CS? Does anybody know how to change it?

It has been suggested they’re opened in whatever order the OS is telling Photoshop to do it.

If you are opening through FileBrowser, the files open in the order in which they appear in FB (which is probably alphabetically unless you have re-arranged them).

Move your images into the order in which you want them to open.

Then they open in alphabetical order don’t they?

Apart from changing your file-names, I don’t think that there is much that you can do about it.

But why not use FileBrowser (even for stuff which is on the desktop) so that you can arrange the files to open in any order that you like?
