Hi,

I’m looking out for a chrome-effect for textdecoration, but I didn’t found good filters with good results.
I just downloaded a demo from alienskin but still there is no acceptable chrome-filter … or perhaps I’m too stupid. within their eyecandy 5 box is an effect ‘diamond plate’ witch looks really nice but this thing only puts a structure on the layer and not on the layer’s border.

can someone help me? witch filters can you recommend?

Do a search for "Chrome" and Photoshop on google… You have about 47,900 options to choose from.

Also, have you thought about using Layer Styles? I’ve got a couple of dozen chrome varieties and haven’t created chrome ‘by hand’ or plugin in a couple of years. There are some excellent ones in the collection included in the book/cd "Photoshop 7 One-Click Wow!" by Jack Davis and Linnea Dayton. You can find it on Amazon pretty cheap.
