I have made duotones in PS, save the file as a mulitichannel DCS 2.0 format (I read to do this in the PS help file?), but when I bring the image into illustrator, it’s all jagged, and the spot color doesn’t show up on the swatches window. Please, please, please help

Most modern RIPS don’t need the file to be in multichannel mode. Contact the person who is printing the job.

If you have transparent elements in Illustrator along with spots, I’m afraid you’re in big trouble.

Have you confirmed that the extra channels are saved as spot colors?

You can have Alpha channels in a multichannel document that are set to Alpha status and not spot color status. Do that check first.
