when i interpolate a picture to make it appear larger and save it when i reoppen the picture it opens in it’s original size. why doesn’t it open at the size i saved it in

Same display size or same number of pixels?

maybe you change print size of document (document size)
you must change pixel dimensions not document size

I was working with somebody the other day who got confused why zooming didn’t change the image.
