Previously:
I currently use a template but would like to use the Web Photo Gallery. Is it possible to have both? I have tried but understand that WPG has its own "templates" which might interfere. I’m a little confused.

I’m so sorry, I should have mentioned that I’m using Dreamweaver MX to create web pages. I would like to update my site which is largely pics and WPG seems ideal.

WPG is supposed to be "customisable" how does your template differ from the WPG supplied ones and could you not alter one to suit?

Yes indeedy – thank God for the internet!
I’ve found how to customise, but they are the individual items such as displayed pic size, thumbnails display, banner etc (especially css). My problem is how can I use the web gallery with a DW template. I can’t find out how to use links, plus the gallery. See www.jofinn.com to see what I mean. I really need to redo the website as although still somewhat new to PShop and DW I’d like to have a reasonable-looking site! I am afraid I’m not only ignorant (which hopefully can be cured) I have a problem with design as well!

Can’t help you with the above I’m afraid, but ISTR that DW has web photo album under Commands>create web photo album, but I think you need to have Fireworks installed as well. Looking through the DWMX bible, the dialogue box looks very similar to the one in PS though.
Your site looks pretty good to me, you are too hard on yourself.

I’ll have a look at DW album. Perhaps I’ll download a trial of Fireworks (oh boy, something else to learn!).
Thanks for kind words. It’s a bit of a mish-mash as I was learning css and templates as I went along and see some great sites I wish I could emulate. Thanks again
