Dose photoshop still have Quick edit a way to work on a small section of a large meg file? It was found under import and export in photoshop 5.5?

The problem with QuickEdit, if I remember was that it only worked on flattened files, limiting its usefulness to those who wanted to preserve editability. You can get the same kind of thing by doing Copy Merged and breaking the selection out to another document and editing it there.

Quick Edit had lots of other problems/limitations: uncompressed TIFF only, no metadata, etc.

It’s long gone, with good reason.
