Whenever I save a flattened version of my PSD file as a TIF or JPG it always adds the word "copy" to the file name. How do I stop that from happening? I want my flattened TIF files to have the same name as the original PSD file.

If you flatten and remove alpha channels before using save as, you won’t get "copy" in the filename. If you untick those items from the save as dialog, it inserts the word "copy".
