Photoshop CS hangs at startup

I’m running Photoshop CS on a Mac (OS X). When I go to start photoshope it goes through opening all of the necessary files, and when it gets to "locating Color Profiles" the hard drive starts clicking, the spinning beach ball apears, and Photoshop freezes. Any suggestions?

possibly a corrupted profile
have you ran colorsync’s repair utility?
it may have toasted one or it may fix or ID a bad one for ya
