corrupted tif

Good day,

I use Photoshop CS with Mac OSX 10.4.5.
Yesterday I copied my complete achives (138GB) to a brand new external HD. And deletes the old sources.
To late I did realize that all .tif files are corrupted an can´t be opened by any programm.

Is any advice out there?
