This is a problem that was posted a couple of years ago but, from what I can gather, no solution was posted. I’m having the same issue now
Just yesterday I was saving pct files with a single alpha channel for use in AE just fine. I’m using PS7.01- But this moring, I can’t save a pct file with an alpha channel for some reason. I’m in RGB, 8bits/channel. But it gives me yellow waring signal next to "alpha channels" in the save box that says "you must save this as a copy with this selection". But the "save as a copy" botton is already checked and is grayed out. I’m confused. Is there a color profile or bit depth or something I need to change to be able to save alpha channels again? Is there a size or resloution requirement? Please help.
