Greetings!

Using Photoshop 7 (CS2)

I seem to be missing many crucial filters from the filter menu.

For example, The "Artistic" section is completely dimmed, as well as "Brush Stroke," "Pixelate," "Scetch," and "Texture."
A number of things are also missing from the remaining filters, such as the "Render" section, in which everything but "Lens Flare" and "Fibers" is dimmed.

What can I do? I really need some help.

Please help me out.

Thanks,

-Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Sounds like you are in 16 bit mode. Change to 8 bit mode.

Looks like that did it!

How silly of me… 16 bit files and 8 bit effects…

Thanks both of you!

Photoshop 7 is not CS2

CS2 is Photoshop 9
