Recently noticing that I can’t get out of the marquee tool or the lasso tool without saving and closing first. The marquee or lasso stays highlighted and won’t let me do anything else. Have to save and close – then reopen to do something else. Very annoying and slows me down – been happening about 2 weeks.

Mac G4 Panther – have Tiger but haven’t had time to install yet

Nope.

more information exact system #, PS version #, computer (speed, RAM) can help us narrow down problems.

?

Strange behavoir does not necessarily (most likely does not) mean ‘bug’.

This sounds more like a system conflict.

What changes have you made to your computer before this incident, if any? Please give us info on your system, version number of Photoshop, etc…
