I just bought a 3200 Athlon w/ 1GB matched DDR Ram, …. so, .. naturally I set my Virtual memory to none! … but, when I try and run Adobe Elements, … I get … an error … "virtual memory not large enuff" or somethig similar, and the program won’t run. Anyopne have any ideas about this?

thanks

You can read up on how Photoshop (and Elements) uses memory/scratch file/paging file, but the short take is, it won’t run without space allocated for its primary scratch file.

Allen,

As Mac indicated you need scratchdisk space regardless of how much RAM you have. You also want to keep that scratchdisk space (on the hard drive you place it .. usually C:) defragged.
