I found some time ago an action called "Bill’s oil painting"- it was dated in 2003- and I ran it recently and it does a great job on relatively small images, say 600 x800, but not on those larger, say 2000×3000. Are there any rules of thumb as to how to scale up an action?

Or are there scaleable actions I might try – or a type of painterly action that’d work well on larger?

Does anyone have an educated guess? Please!
