Is there any way to change linking layers back to the old UI the way it was in CS1?

Linking layers is now a 2 step process and you have to hold down a key to do it.

This is ridiculous. This is a step backwards in useability.

I only used to use the mouse and quicky select and select scrolling in a split second.

I can’t in CS2 or CS3 beta for for some reason.
My work flow slows down by 50%.
Very frustrating!!!!

I liked it better when each layer had it’s own link/lock layer located to right side of each "eye" icon.

There is no way I’m buying an upgrade for CS3.
I thought they would had enough people complain about this and put it back they way it was. This should also be an option as a preference in layers and it is not.

This was a poorly engineered design.

This is ridiculous. This is a step backwards in usability.

Use it more. I’ve found the CS2 temporary linking method (control+click) much easier and faster for my work-flow.

no, it’s not any faster.

there is no way it could be faster.

and you have to use 2 hands to do it instead on one.

poor useability, poor engineering.
definitely a step backwards.

How come you’re just noticing this now, KU? CS2 is nearing its life cycle by now. Kind of late to be complaining now, too late even to change anything in the upcoming CS3, let alone CS2.

LOL, I wish I just noticed it now.
I noticed it the day CS2 beta came out.
I was hoping they would fix this issue in version CS3

I’m really surprised there isn’t any optional preference for this.

Keith…

Bah, nevermind…you’re too tough to communicate with.

I noticed it the day CS2 beta came out.

Are you trying to imply you were a private beta tester for Adobe? There was never a public CS2 beta. Or did you mean the trial version, which was NOT a beta?
