When I am working on masks, I am constantly zooming in and out. Is there a way I can get the cursor to cause Ps to zoom to the area it’s pointing to? Corel Photopaint does this by zooming with the mouse wheel. Right now when in Photoshop I have to zoom out then move the image over then zoom back in. Not as nice as it could be. Thanks in advance.

Are you using the Zoom tool? It does exactly what you seem to be asking for.

DOH. Thanks RamΓ³n. I’ve never even tried that tool. Guess there’s always a first time πŸ™‚

With any tool active, Hold down Command + Shift.

Click in the area you want to focus on; Also, Click and Drag diagonally, de-click.

The shorter distance you drag, the more you zoom in.

Add the Option key to zoom out.

command + space = zoom in

option + command + space = zoom out.

WHOA!

My post above should read "Command + Space"

1000 pardons, and sorry for the muck-up.

Good catch, Buko.

Preferences "Zoom With Scroll Wheel" in the Ps Beta is EXACTLY what I was looking for. That way I don’t have to change from the Lasso tool to Zoom. Thanks for your help!
