When I go up to the filter column in Photoshop CS2, there is no filter gallery choice, just Blur, Distort, Noise, Pixelate and Sharpen. But when I go through Finder and click to the files of Photoshop plug-ins I can find the filters, yet when I double click them to open, Photoshop says its in a file format that cannot be read.

You haven’t taken the Photoshop icon out of its folder, have you?

And your images are in 8-bit RGB?

Why on Earth would any sane person take the Photoshop application icon out of its folder?
