When I use the clone stamp tool on a blank layer, then apply Edit=Fade, I get this unpredictable problem:

I experimented with zooming in and out while the Edit=Fade operation was open, I got stranger results:

Even more strange, is when I zoomed at 66.7%, the problem disappeared! < http://www.photoeric.addr.com/PGHQ/Clone-fade-problem/Pictur e4-66-7-percent.jpg>

Any suggestions??? Could it be a RAM problem? I’m using Photoshop CS2 for Mac. I don’t recall seeing this problem before upgrading from 2 to 4 GB RAM (although it is possible it has happened). I’ve restarted, rebooted and retried. But I still have the same problem. I bought the RAM from Omni Technologies.
