I am having trouble opening a few jpeg2000 images in Photoshop CS2 in Windows. I get the following error: "Could not complete your request because of a problem with the file-format module interface". I DO have the JPEG2000 plugin installed. I am wondering if there is a file size problem. My files are quite large because they are scientific data (up to almost 6GB per image). I can open some jpeg2000 files, but not others. The ones that I cannot open are over 4GB in size, while the ones that I can open are closer to 1.5GB. Is this an obvious Photoshop problem, or is it more likely that my computer needs more RAM? The reason that I suspect that the answer is the former is because a colleague has a Mac with lost of memory (okay, can’t remember the number, but it’s a beast) and is having the same trouble opening these files.
