Output Settings – Linked CSS, not Inline

I can’t seem to to Image Ready to export a linked CSS document, regardless of my settings. "Generate CSS" vs "Generate Tables", is what I’m referring to in Output Settings.

I’ve tried the different settings for Generate CSS (Inline, By Class, By ID) but this doesn’t change where the CSS is located. It’s still placed in the page, not linked externally.

This is a pain – rollover scripts are automatically linked in a folder called GeneratedItems, so why can’t I automatically create a linked CSS file from Image Ready?

What am I missing?

Thanks.

Nothing. It isn’t an option. I believe the reason as to why it isn’t is that the generated CSS ID’s and classes could conflict with those of other pages were they written to an external CSS file.

Great – looks like I have to manually cut and paste the styles into their own external style sheet.

Maybe this could be a good GoLive action to create?

Thanks!
