I have downloaded a picture from Google Images about 30 or 40kb. When accessed via WORD Insert>Pictures>from file, it is a neat 4.5"Wx6"H.
When the same picture is accessed via Photoshop Elements it becomes a giant 450"x600"!!! When I do: select>all>Image>resize>image or canvas
nothing happens, all I have is a monstrous canvas, in the midst of it an ant size little something. Question: How could this be and how to remedy it, by bringing it down to a normal size?
Thanks in advance

First make a duplicate of it in case my fix doesn’t work! Open the monstrous canvas, select the Rectangular Marquee tool, and then select the the little ant-sized something. Once selected, go to Image>Crop. That should get rid of the excess canvas and leave only the image.
