I am trying to crop an image with a retangular mask, but once I release the mouse a timer appears then the retangular mask changes to a rounded corner mask. It also doesn’t crop.

Any help greatly appreciated

I am using CS2 9.0.1 on an intel Imac. It had been working fine until recently.

Are you dragging out a Rectangular Marquee to make this mask?

If so, then you probably have some value other than "0 px" in the "Feather" field in the Options Bar. Change it to "0 px".
