can’t get started

on emac, osx.2.8- downloaded elements. everything looks ok, but it will not start. the opening screen gives 2 options, and both revert to opening screen. I think it is supposed to say "try", but it is not highlit, so i can’t click it. any ideas?

Have heard this before, but didn’t hear solution.

Wondering, what’s your screen rez? Maybe needs to be 1024 or higher?
