When I open up Nikon Raw file in CS3 Camera Raw does not launch. My Nikon Raw converter launches. Ideas? Also what directory is the the cmaera raw file in CS3 and what version of Camera Raw does CS 3 use?.

In the file preferences you have set the NEF file to be opened by your Nikon software, not Photoshop. It sounds like you are using Windows so you can change it with Windows Explorer under tools.
