Changing work space color

I know how to change the work space with a new color,was wondering if there was a way to change it to a pattern, tried the paint bucket,pattern option but didnt get it to work.any ideas?

Nope, can’t be done.

But would you mind explaining why you think having a pattern might be a good idea?

tired of just looking at colors, might like to see some clouds.thats all.

Drugs will do it for you!

You are supposed to be looking at the picture, not the area around it.

I’ve never met a single person who, after changing the color of the area surrounding the canvas, didn’t ultimately end up preferring the gray and changing it back.
