You can rename the files in Bridge. What’s your goal?

It adds a bunch automatically generated characters to the filename, and I want to have a way control that, or set my own naming conventions.

Bob, I guess You could adapt lines 1022 to 1025 or so of »Export Layers To Files.jsx« to Your liking.
But best to work on a duplicate probably.
