PS Paintbrush – stepping edges not even

Take paintbrush tool – set diameter high [so you can see] – airbrush off. Now try drawing a round shape – the edges will ‘step’. Why and how can i resolve this??

Change the Spacing in the Brush Tip Shape tab of the Brushes palette.
