Have two computers peer-to-peer networked. Windows XP Pro on both. Running Photoshop CS2 on both.

When i click File, Open, then browse to a photo located on the other PC (which opens fine on that PC), open the image it brings up the NEW prompt then clicking ok opens a black image.

Any ideas??

Photoshop doesn’t officially support opening/saving over a network. Best practise is to open/save to the local drive and copy across to/from the location.

Do you have full permission to read and WRITE to the other drive?

Sorry:

With this file i am getting this message when coping to the local drive:

Cannot copy "file name’ : Access is denied

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

Sounds like a permission problem.
