I am using CS2 and just today I can not see the photo. I can see it in the layers palate, the channels mixer, the history panel, etc, but not in the main window. This goes for any photo opened in Photoshop. What could I have switched off by accident?

Thanks,

Glen

Glen, pardon me if this is too obvious, but above the image layer, do you have any layers that could be blocking its view?

Is the window off screen perhaps? Did you once have two monitors but went back to one?

Try trashing/resetting Preferences as per the FAQs.

No, it was a single layer document.

I’ve just reinstaled the program, so I’ll see if that fixes the problem. If not, I’ll try the preferences. I did have two monitors, but haven’t used them in ages and have used CS2 since then without problems.

Reinstalling the program didn’t work. I’ll give the preferences deal a whirl. Its like I’m missing the part of the screen that the photo lies on. The tools aren’t active over that area, but all the info of the file is there. If I go to File info, I can get all the usual data, Camera, f stop, shutter speed, etc. but no photo.

Thanks,

Glen

Resetting the preferences did the trick!
