Tried to install PhotoshopElements 2.0

Tried to install PhotoshopElements 2.0 in my new HP Pavillion a650y, Intel 3.0, 1 gig RAM, etc…….Install fine, loads to desktop what looks complete to me…..then an error message appears:

Mod Name: NTDLL.DLL
Mod Ver: 5.1.2600.1217
Offset: 00007d85

The application shuts down when I acknowledge the error message syaing the an error report has been sent.

There is file indicated in the error message sent to Adobe/Microsoft?? C:\Document..|Local..|Temp|WER14.TMP.DIR00\APPCOMPAT.TXT

This program worked fine in my 550 megahertz machine………..!!!

Ed,

Are you perhaps using anything by Norton on your system? If so, was it active when you installed Elements? Active when you tried to open Elements? Norton causes a lot of trouble with Adobe products on some machines. You might try removing it, doing an uninstall, then a clean reinstall of Elements and see if that doesn’t correct things.
