I’ve had CS3 installed on my G5 Dual 2.5, system 10.4.11, for a couple of years. It is set to launch on startup, and it has worked without hitch until this morning. Today, I noticed when I started up the computer, CS3 started to launch, but then quit. I’ve tried to launch from the dock icon, same thing. I’ve restarted the computer, but still have the same results.

Any suggestions on how to solve this would be appreciated.

You could always start with deleting your prefs.

It turns out that there is a conflict between the esata card in my G5 and a new WD 1TB hard drive. It seems that the bridge chip is incompatible, and that is the root of all the problems. Unplugged the drive, and all worked well. Ah, computers.
