Hi, I have photoshop 7.0. This problem just started recently. When I make a text box, and try to type…nothing shows up! But when I click on the outside of the box, the word that I typed is shown in the "layers" box. Where is my text? I have tried everything from fiddling with the font size, color, and even re-installing it. Nothing! Any suggestions?

Go image, image size and check that the resolution is not a number under 72.

Go image, mode and make sure you are in RGB.

make sure that your text color is not the same as the background color.

If that doesn’t help try resetting the Type Tool here:

Try deleting Photoshop preferences by holding down the Alt, Ctrl and Shift keys as you start up the Photoshop application. A dialog box will appear and ask if you wish to delete preferences.
