Photoshop Halts when select the Levels command.

Hi i have photoshop 7 running on win 2k with sp3. I have been able to use the Levels command successfully, until now.

Everytime i select the levels command the program does not bring up the levels dialog box

Photoshop does not allow me to either close the application nor exit out the dialog box.

Help will be extremely appreciated.
