I have been using photoshop 5.0 and it’s Seperate Colors program. I’m Sure I’ll figure out Elements 3, as it is more "busy" with additional stuff and not as direct as 5.0.

But, I am unable to find the seperate colors program. Do I need to learn the Histogram and Layers to work with individual colors? Does Elements have a new name for this color program?

My apologies for laying on these dumb questions to you all.

You can’t work on individual color channels in PSE3 directly. There are several plugins you can get to provide that functionality though. They are available with the companion disk to Richard Lynch’s book ‘The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 3’ and I think Grant’s tools has this as well. I don’t have a link for Grant’s tools, but I’m sure someone here can provide the URL.

Hi Ken,

It’s quite a different set up relative to Photoshop.

Have a look under the Windows menu, Histogram, Colors…

I haven’t worked with this in Elements so I would have to know more about what you want to do before I could direct you further.

Cheers
