This is an odd problem. I’m running Photoshop 6 on Win2K. I open a tiff file on our network, edit, but it won’t save. I get the following message:
Could not save "S:\…\Z-FFT-10005AE.tif" because the file is locked. Use the ‘Properties’ command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file.
Now, on the surface, it would appear that the file is set for "Read Only" access or that I don’t have administrator rights to it. These factors have been checked and everything’s set properly.
The thing is, is that when I do the same operation from another computer that has Photoshop 7, it allows me to save the file with no error.
Is there a patch or something I need to correct this problem? Has anyone heard of this?
