Why does it take CS2 10 times longer to save a 440MB file with layers (40 secs) than it does a 440MB file no layers (flattened)(4 secs)?
Is this normal due to the complexity of numerous layers or is my system having a hissy fit with complex data?
System:
Win XP Pro 64bit Version 2003 SP2
Dual Xeon CPU 5140 @ 2.33GHz
4GB RAM
OS & APPS on seperate HDD
Data saved to 2x300GB drives in RAID 0 (striped for fast read/write)
I was hoping this system would elleviate my slow saving problems. Not so it seems. (35 secs every time I press CTRL S is frustrating to say the least!)
Hope someone can advise.
