Hi all

Given the original bitmap for a button, does someone have a recipe to create a "disabled" image?
(Disabled is usually something like monochrome and sunken, but I can’t figure out the specifics.)

I’ve got Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, but could also get Photoshop CS or other.

Thanks
Simon

Simon,

To turn an image monochrome, just do this in PSE 2:

Image > Mode > Grayscale

To make it look sunken, I would use the rectangular Marquee Tool, select the main section, then drag it a few pixels over until you have the sunken look. The dragging will leave an open area, which you can fill in with an appropriate shade of gray using the paint bucket tool.

Hope this help.
