Everytime I create a .jpg image in Photoshop 7.0 and open it in another program, etc. I have a white background. I would like to only see the image and have a transparent background but do not know how to do this. Was wondering if anyone knew how to do this? Thank you!!!

One thread is enough.

Jpegs don’t support transparency.

choose a format that does support transparency like PNG or Gif. If its not for the web use PSD PDF or TIF.

The Jpeg format does not support transparency. TIFF and PSD do, or if you are saving for the web, use GIF or PNG.

Visions,
If you just want to blend your image with Web page background: – Open the "Save for Web" dialog
– Choose JPEG format
– In the "Matte" menu, select "Other" and choose your web page background color
