Someone kindly answered this for me a while ago and I can’t for the life of me find the answer now I need it again.
With a portrait of a person I want just enough detail, say shadow, to recognise the person. 2 colours is fine.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris.

Imagine a pic of someone, black and white but almost all detail removed. All that remains is enough shadow to recognise the person.

Hi.

Hi.

Probably postrerize, and reduce the number of steps until you get it the way you want.

You would probably need to play with Brightness / Contrast before applying the posterization.

Use very contrasty and shadowless lighting to take the picture. Hot shoe type flashguns, or Spotlights rather than Studio Lights with largish reflectors.
