ICC profiles not recognized Photoshop 5.5

I am running Photoshop 5.5 on Windows XP Pro. The ICC profiles I downloaded from the Adobe site are not recognized by Photoshop. The profiles are installed in the Windows\System32\Color folder. Photoshop does recognize a few of the profiles but not USWebCoatedSWOP.icc. Does anyone know why this is?
