Photshop Elements 3 Picture Sequence Jumbled + Captions Missing

I’m up a tree. I’m off for New Zealand in the morning..edited/wrote captions for 350± pictures burned a pair of DVDs (to take along) and I have a mess–ie, pics are not in the edited sequence and the caps have been replaced with picture numbers.

Yet, back in Photoshop Elements all the pics/caps are in order.

I suspect I’m missing a step or two..but which ones?

I need some serious help..and it will be really appreciated.
