I have a picture of a classic Mustang. The car is original yellow. I wanted to Photoshop different colors onto the car just to see how it would look.
I made a selection of the car body and then pasted that into another layer.
I changed the foreground color to maroon tried the Color Replacement tool to paint the color onto the car body. But it paints a pinkish color (as opposed to the Honduras Maroon color). I am assuming this is because it is blending the two colors together.
I have tried changing the layer from Normal to all the other types (multiply, color, darken etc) and it still seems as if the color (on the color picker) does not actually get applied.
I tried Hue filter but really had no better luck than the Color Replacement method.
Is there something else I should do to get the true maroon color to shop up (and maintain the reflections)?
I also have been going to video tutorials (and will continue to do so trying to figure this out).
Thanks in advance,
PS, I can post the picture up on the web (pixentral?) if that would be of some assistance.
