update to photoshop CS3

The first full version I bought was Photoshop 6.0. Then I bought an update to CS. Now I am going to have a new computer with Vista and want to update to CS3.
I allways see that I have to have at least 7.0 or later to upgrade. Does that mean I need to have a full version of 7.0 or later, or can I also updgrade my CS upgrade. Somehow I do not find a clear answer on that……..

Axel,

What counts is that you have CS (upgr or full doesn’t matter).

When you install CS3 it will ask you for a CD or a serial #.

In case of a CD, use the CS CD.
