I created a multilayer TIF consisting of a 2600 x 2400 px. main layer, one or more TIF images, and one or more text layers. After editing, I flattened the image and saved as TIF. I then wanted to save a copy as jpg. PS Save As dialog displays a greatly truncated list of optional file types, with jpg not present.

Would like to know why the list of file types should be truncated in this way.

Running PhotoShop CS2 v. 9.0.2 on WIN-XP SP2.

Is your file 16 bit? if so,change it to 8bit.

Is your file an 8-bit RGB image? If not, convert it.

Right, it was a new file at 16 bits. Missed that. All of my other files from camera were 8 bits to begin with. Thanks all

Weird. I was post #1 yesterday, and Jack’s response was #2.

Don Reese, are you posting through NNTP? And does the NNTP interface reorder the posts based on the NNTP headers? I can’t think of any other explanation.

Michael,

Jack had posted two topics, each had a single reply, your reply being to the 2nd (i.e. duplicate) topic.

I merged the duplicate into the original.
