Text Tool Won’t Work

It worked fine yesterday, but today… When I hit the text tool button a new layer appears, but nothing shows when I type. I’ve increased the font size. I’ve decreased the font size. I’ve made a box, I’ve not made a box. I’ve reset my preferences. I’ve pulled my hair out! Any suggestions?

What is your Image Size resolution? Make sure it’s not some weird res.. like 1 ppi.
